Design a furniture trade show stand as an open landscape of platforms that visitors are invited to use. Build a series of low timber platforms at three different heights — 200, 400 and 600 millimetres — filling the stand's footprint in an irregular arrangement with broad steps between them, so the whole floor becomes a place to sit, lean or lie. Place the furniture directly on the platforms in relaxed groupings as if in a park, with cushions and throws left casually. Add a few large planters with tall grasses and a tree between the platforms. Keep the stand entirely open with no walls, so it reads as a piece of public space within the hall. Detail the platforms in a pale oak with rounded edges. Add a coffee counter at one corner and a shelf of design books. Light warmly from a few tall floor lamps and a canopy of festoon lights above. Show visitors sitting, working on laptops and talking, genuinely occupying it. Photorealistic, warm, informal and inviting, elevated eye-level view across the platforms.
