Show a close study of a restaurant wall composed from three contrasting materials meeting in deliberately designed joints. Render the lower zone in a hand-glazed ceramic tile with visible colour variation and glaze pooling, running to 1.1 metres with a bullnose top. Above it a band of fluted timber in mid oak, its ribs vertical, its ends stopped with a machined return rather than a trim. Above that a rough limewash carried up onto the ceiling. Show a fixed banquette running along the wall in a colour lifted directly from the tile glaze. Include a wall light mounted precisely on the tile-timber joint so the detail is celebrated.
