Design a public artwork built on a single operation: take an unremarkable everyday object and enlarge it until scale alone makes it strange. Show a common household item — a paper clip, a clothes peg, a folded paper boat, a safety pin — reproduced at roughly twelve metres tall, standing in a city plaza with no plinth, no label and no explanation. Detail the enlargement as absolutely faithful, every feature of the original scaled up without simplification or stylisation: the exact spring curve of the wire, the moulding seam down the side of the plastic, the slight manufacturing imperfection on one edge, all magnified so details normally invisible become architectural. Show the material as fabricated steel or painted aluminium finished to imitate the original convincingly — a matte galvanised grey for wire, a flat primary colour for plastic — with the fabrication seams ground away entirely. Detail the object's contact with the ground as minimal and slightly precarious, resting on two small points as the real object would. Show people beneath it for scale, some photographing it, some ignoring it completely. Set it on a paved civic square with office buildings around. Show flat bright daylight. Photorealistic, deadpan, single bold colour against grey, low upward three-quarter view.
