Design a continuous park bench in the manner of Antoni Gaudí and Josep Maria Jujol, running as a single serpentine line along the edge of an elevated terrace for more than a hundred metres. Show the plan snaking in and out so the curve alternately bulges outward into exposed sunny stretches and folds back into deep concave pockets, each pocket enclosing a small group and turning its back on the next, so one bench produces dozens of separate social rooms. Detail the seat and backrest as a continuous moulded profile taken from the shape of a seated body — the back reclining, the seat dished, the lumbar swelling forward — so the form reads as ergonomic long before it reads as decorative. Show the entire surface clad in trencadís: irregular shards of broken glazed ceramic and white tile set in mortar, the fragments following the curvature and shifting in colour from milky white to cobalt, ochre and green in loose drifting bands. Detail the joints as visibly hand-set with uneven mortar lines. Set it on a stone terrace overlooking a city and distant sea. Show warm morning sun so the glazes flash.
