Detail the gaps as the design's whole effect: from outside the stack reads as solid, from inside it is striped with daylight, and the space feels simultaneously open and closed depending on the viewing angle. Show the board ends left rough and uneven where they project slightly past the corner, so the stack reads as honest and unfinished.
