Design the archetypal park bench in its most honest material form: hardwood slats carried on cast iron ends. Show two cast side frames, each a single casting whose curved profile forms leg, seat support, armrest and back stay in one continuous shape, with a moulded relief pattern of scrolling foliage across the outer face and the foundry's raised lettering along the lower leg. Detail the slats as seven horizontal hardwood boards — four to the seat, three to the back — each with softly rounded arrises, bolted through the castings with domed coach bolts whose heads stand slightly proud on the outer face. Show the timber as an oiled iroko or teak, deep honey brown where sheltered and weathered to pale silver-grey on the upward-facing surfaces, with the grain raised and the fine checking visible. Detail the ironwork as painted a deep bottle green, the paint thick and slightly chipped at the arrises where feet and bags have knocked it, showing black primer and a bloom of orange rust beneath. Set it on a gravel path with a clipped hedge behind. Show soft overcast light. Photorealistic, familiar, green iron and silvered timber, low three-quarter view.
