Design a hotel library lounge in the manner of tonychi, indistinguishable from a private house's study. Line the walls floor to ceiling in dark stained timber shelving filled with real books arranged as someone would actually keep them — mostly upright, some stacked flat, a few leaning, interspersed with framed photographs, ceramics and collected objects. Set a working fireplace with a simple stone surround and a fire lit, flanked by two worn leather wing chairs and a small drinks table with a decanter. Add a large partners desk in dark timber with a leather top, a green glass banker's lamp and a stack of newspapers. Lay a worn patterned rug over timber boards. Keep the ceiling at domestic height with a simple moulding. Light entirely from table lamps, a floor lamp and the fire — no ceiling fittings at all. Add a tray with two glasses and a folded throw over a chair arm. Show a winter evening, warm and dim. Photorealistic, domestic, warm and inhabited, eye-level view toward the fire.
