Design a communal park table designed around eating together rather than sitting in a row. Show a long timber table some four metres in length with fixed bench seats running down both sides, the whole assembly built as one rigid unit so nothing can be moved or stolen. Detail one end of the table as left entirely clear of bench — the tabletop extending well past the last seat with open space beneath — so a wheelchair, a pushchair or a person who prefers their own chair can pull straight up and be part of the same table rather than parked beside it. Show the second end handled the same way, so the gesture reads as the design's logic and not as an afterthought. Detail the top as broad hardwood planks with open joints so crumbs and rain fall through, its surface scratched, ring-marked and carved with initials, the wear treated as patina. Show the frame as a heavy galvanised steel structure with a wide beam under the centre so nobody's knees meet a leg. Detail the ground beneath as level compacted gravel running out well past the table's ends. Show a family mid-meal along one side. Set it under trees in a park picnic area. Show warm dappled light.
