Create a landscape section-elevation drawing, cut through a park and extending sideways to show what stands beyond the cut. Render the ground as a continuous profile line with the soil below shown as a solid dark band with a fine hatch, and the levels changing across the section — a mound, a level lawn, a step down to a water body. Draw the cut trees and shrubs as solid silhouettes in a dark tone where the section passes through them, and the trees beyond the cut as lighter flat silhouettes in receding tones, so depth reads through value alone. Detail the water with a horizontal line and a light fill showing its depth against the bank profile. Show three or four human figures as flat silhouettes at different positions for scale.
