天井：水廊と降り注ぐ光

Render the open courtyard between two halls of a Taiwanese temple. Show a rectangular open-to-sky space paved in grey stone, enclosed on the front and back by the halls and on both sides by covered connecting corridors carried on stone columns. Set a large bronze or cast-iron incense burner on a stone plinth at the centre, its three legs and lion-head handles clearly modelled, smoke rising from it. Show the corridors with timber ceilings, hanging red lanterns in a row, and stone benches along the inner edge. Detail the paving as large worn slabs with grass in the joints and a shallow drainage channel around the perimeter. Show potted plants and a stone basin at one corner. Make the light the subject: a hard shaft of midday sun cutting down into the courtyard and landing on the paving and the burner, while the surrounding corridors stay deep in shadow, and the smoke made visible where it crosses the light.
