Design a hotel restaurant in the manner of tonychi, staged as an extended family dining room rather than a formal venue. Place an open kitchen along one side with a warm timber and stone counter, copper pans hanging, and a chef visibly cooking — treated as a domestic kitchen scaled up, not a stainless commercial line. Set one long communal timber table down the centre with mismatched but harmonious chairs, and a few smaller tables around the edges. Line the walls with open shelving holding real crockery, glass jars, cookbooks and plants, deliberately not styled to perfection. Keep the floor in worn timber boards with a runner rug. Hang simple warm pendants low over the long table. Add a dresser with stacked plates and a bowl of fruit. Use warm, domestic materials throughout — timber, plaster, brass, linen — and no hotel signage of any kind. Show evening service with warm lamplight and a full table.
