Take the supplied architectural render, in which the far background is as sharp and saturated as the foreground, and rebuild its depth through atmosphere. Apply a graded haze that increases with distance: the foreground untouched, the middle distance slightly lifted in its blacks and reduced in saturation, and the far background substantially paler, cooler and much lower in contrast. Detail the colour shift as the sky's colour progressively mixing into the distant objects, so far buildings take on the sky's blue-grey rather than simply fading to white. Show the effect as continuous rather than in bands, with each successive plane clearly separated from the next. Detail one or two additional atmospheric cues: a faint mist collecting in a low area, and a slight glow around distant lights. Keep the foreground fully saturated and contrasty so the difference is unmistakable. Show the horizon as the palest and lowest-contrast part of the image.
