Design a park seat as one solid block of stone with nothing added to it. Show a single monolith roughly two metres long, six hundred deep and four hundred and fifty high, sitting directly on compacted gravel with no base, no legs and no fixings of any kind, its weight alone holding it in place. Detail four of its faces as left in the rough split state straight from the quarry — irregular, faceted, still carrying the parallel scars of the drill holes used to break it — and only the top face as worked, sawn flat and then flame-textured to a fine matte grip so it sheds water and never becomes slippery. Show the transition between rough and worked faces as a single crisp sawn arris with no chamfer, the sharpness of that line the only refinement in the object. Detail the stone as a pale grey granite with visible feldspar crystals and darker mineral veining running diagonally through the block, the colour deepening where rain has soaked the rough faces. Show moss beginning in the deeper hollows of the split faces. Set it at the edge of a woodland path with leaf litter around its base. Show cool diffuse forest light.
