Design park seating that never touches the ground. Show a seat plane cantilevering horizontally out of a vertical face — a low park wall, a planter edge, a stair balustrade — with nothing beneath it at all, so the space under the seat stays completely open and the plane appears to float. Detail the cantilever as slim, no more than sixty millimetres thick at its free edge, achieved by a steel plate buried inside the wall and clad in timber only on the exposed faces. Show a continuous shadow gap where the seat meets the wall, a dark recessed line running its full length, so even the connection back to the wall is denied and the plane reads as detached from everything. Detail the timber as narrow hardwood strips laid along the length with fine open joints between them, letting light through in thin lines onto the paving below. Show the seat running for eight or nine metres uninterrupted, following the wall around a corner without a break in the plane. Detail the paving beneath as clean and unobstructed, sweepable, with the seat's shadow lying across it as a crisp band. Set it in a paved park terrace with planting above the wall. Show strong side sun. Photorealistic, weightless, warm timber against grey, low eye-level view along the cantilever.
