Design a multi-channel video installation that surrounds the viewer on every side. Show a darkened square room with four large projections, one filling each wall from floor to ceiling with no frame, border or visible screen edge, the images meeting at the room's corners so the projected world appears continuous around the full three hundred and sixty degrees. Detail the four channels as showing related but non-identical footage — the same landscape from four directions, or four figures performing the same action out of phase — so a viewer can never see all of it at once and must turn continuously. Show the projectors as ceiling-mounted and visible, their beams cutting through the faint haze above head height, the cabling and mounts unhidden. Detail the floor as a plain dark surface carrying the coloured spill from all four walls, so the ground glows with a mixture of the images and the room has no true black. Show three visitors seated on the floor in the centre, their backs to the camera, lit entirely by the shifting projected light so their outlines flare and dim as the footage changes. Detail one wall as currently much brighter than the others, throwing strong coloured light across the room. Photorealistic, enveloping, saturated projected colour in darkness, low eye-level view from the centre.
