Design a hotel arrival space in the manner of tonychi, made to feel like arriving at a private house rather than a hotel. Remove the reception desk entirely, replacing it with a beautiful antique-style timber writing table and two chairs where a host sits with a guest. Furnish the room as a residential living hall: a large open fireplace with a simple stone surround, deep sofas in warm neutral linen arranged around a rug, bookshelves with real books and personal objects, a grand piano in a corner, fresh flowers in a ceramic jug on a console. Keep the scale domestic — normal ceiling height, table lamps rather than chandeliers, curtains rather than blinds. Use warm materials: oak floors with rugs, plastered walls in a warm off-white, aged brass, worn leather. Add framed pictures grouped on a wall as if collected over time. Light entirely from table and floor lamps, warm and low. Show late afternoon with the fire lit. Photorealistic, warm, domestic and welcoming, eye-level view into the room.
