Design a restaurant interior in the manner of Joseph Dirand, rigorously minimal but unmistakably Parisian. Clad the lower walls in a pale grey-veined marble as a tall wainscot with a precise horizontal capping line running the full perimeter at exactly the same height throughout. Above it, keep the walls in a flat matte off-white with simplified plaster mouldings reduced to a single slim shadow line. Detail the floor in a large-format marble with a subdued vein. Furnish with a continuous banquette in a caramel or dove-grey leather with tight seams, small round marble tables with slim brass bases, and simple bentwood or tubular chairs. Hang a row of identical slim brass wall lights at rigidly equal spacing, and one large arched mirror on the end wall. Keep the palette to marble grey, off-white, caramel leather and aged brass — nothing else. Allow no plants, no artwork, no accessories beyond the table settings. Show soft daylight through tall windows with sheer curtains. Photorealistic, restrained, proportioned and elegant, eye-level view down the banquette.
