Design a restaurant drowned in a single saturated colour. Take one strong hue — a deep oxblood — and apply it to every surface without exception: walls, ceiling, joinery, doors, skirtings, the bar front and even the radiator, varying only the sheen between matt, eggshell and lacquer so the room reads as one dense field with subtle internal shifts. Upholster the banquettes in the same hue in a heavy velvet so the seating dissolves into the walls. Leave the floor as the only escape, in a warm unfinished timber. Let the only other colours be the food, the flowers and the diners' clothing, so people become the accent. Light it low and warm so the colour deepens into something almost edible rather than glaring, with concealed washes and a single sculptural pendant per table.
