Design the main lantern of a Taiwanese Lantern Festival for the Year of the Snake, about 14 metres tall, as a cheerful cartoon character that removes any menace. Coil the snake into a soft rounded spiral like a stack of doughnuts, with a big round head at the top, enormous friendly eyes with large highlights, rosy cheeks and a small forked tongue peeking out in a playful way. Build it in smooth seamless translucent fabric glowing from within. Colour it in bright mint green with a cream belly and large rounded scale shapes in pastel pink, yellow and lilac applied as decorative patches rather than realistic scales. Add a small flower crown on its head. Place smaller baby snake figures curled at the base at child height. Set it on a low circular platform with glowing egg shapes and warm uplighting.
