Design the main lantern of a Taiwanese Lantern Festival for the Year of the Dog, about 15 metres tall, built as a responsive companion. Model a seated dog in smooth matte white composite panels over a slim steel frame, its geometry simplified and friendly, with a head that turns slowly on a concealed mechanism to face wherever the crowd is densest, driven by sensors. Embed a large circular LED display in its chest showing a slow abstract heartbeat pulse that quickens gently as more people gather. Render the eyes as two soft glowing discs that blink at intervals. Run fine LED seams along every panel joint in warm white. Mount it on a low dark base ringed with a light strip that brightens as people approach. Add haze and low beams. Set it in a plaza with a crowd interacting and the head turned toward them. Show a clear night with the chest display glowing. Photorealistic, friendly, interactive and contemporary, low eye-level view.
