Design the renovation of a Taiwanese traditional public market hall, bringing order without erasing its character. Show a tall hall with the original concrete frame and roof trusses retained and simply painted a uniform pale grey, with new rooflights cut along the ridge flooding the central aisle with even daylight — replacing the old dim fluorescent gloom. Detail the stalls as a repeating designed unit: a slim black steel frame with a stainless worktop, integrated task lighting on a slim arm, a pull-down shutter, and a hanging rail above, so every stall shares a system while its goods differ wildly. Show the signage as a consistent band across every stall front — same size, same typeface, same mounting height — with the stall number and trade in bold, letting the produce provide the colour. Detail the floor as a new non-slip porcelain with a linear drain along each aisle. Show the market in full trade with vegetables, fish and meat displays, vendors and shoppers.
