Motion Blur People: Giving Still Images a Sense of Time

Create an architectural visualisation using motion blur to imply the passage of time in a still image. Show most of the scene perfectly sharp — the building, the ground, the static objects — while the moving elements are blurred as a longer exposure would render them: figures walking reduced to soft streaks with their trailing edges dissolving, a cyclist drawn into a horizontal smear, a car reduced to a band of colour with its lights stretched into lines. Detail the blur as directionally correct, following each subject's actual path, and stronger for the faster movers.
