Year of the Snake Main Lantern - Traditional Style: Imagery of the Legend of the White Snake and Umbrellas

Design the main lantern of a Taiwanese Lantern Festival for the Year of the Snake, about 13 metres tall, in the traditional craft manner, drawing on classical folklore. Build a graceful coiling white snake on a hand-bent bamboo frame skinned in pearl-white hand-painted silk, its body decorated with fine gold outlining and delicate scale patterns brushed by hand. Add classical elements around it: a large oil-paper umbrella opened above in vermilion and gold, a stylised willow branch in painted silk, and a low arched bridge form at the base — all built in the same bamboo-and-silk technique. Light entirely from within with warm-white sources so the silk glows and the bamboo ribs read as fine lines. Set the composition on a raised platform with a carved timber balustrade and painted cloud panels. Flank with tall poles carrying red palace lanterns and hanging calligraphic banners. Show a warm night with crowds and lantern strings overhead. Photorealistic, elegant, warm and literary, eye-level view.
