Year of the Monkey Lantern Zone・Traditional Style: Journey to the West Lantern Group Corridor

Design a Year of the Monkey themed zone at a Taiwanese Lantern Festival as a narrative walkway of classical story scenes. Build a covered timber walkway about 70 metres long whose ceiling is densely hung with red palace lanterns. Line both sides with a sequence of large hand-made lantern tableaux in painted silk over bamboo, each depicting a scene from the classical Monkey King journey — the flaming mountain, the crossing of the river, the palace of heaven — with multiple figures in opera-style painted costume, all glowing warmly from within. Give each tableau a low timber plinth with a calligraphic title panel and a brief text. Hang vertical fabric banners between the posts. Add a large standing Monkey King lantern at the walkway's end as the finale, staff raised. Surface the path in grey stone with timber edging. Show a warm night with dense crowds moving slowly and children pointing at the scenes. Photorealistic, warm amber, theatrical and dense, eye-level view down the walkway.
