Repair Site: Scaffolding and the Hands of Craftsmen

Show a Taiwanese temple under conservation work, with the process visible. Render bamboo or steel scaffolding wrapped around one half of the facade, draped in green mesh, with a temporary roof over the ridge being worked on. Show a craftsman on a platform repairing cut-and-paste decoration by hand — a tray of ceramic shards and nippers beside him, a bucket of mortar, and a partly rebuilt dragon whose bare wire-and-mortar armature is exposed on one section while the adjacent section is complete and glittering. On the ground, show timber members laid out on trestles with numbered tags, some stripped back to bare wood, others part-regilded, and a craftsman applying gold leaf with a brush at a covered bench. Include the finished half of the temple beside the works for contrast, and a printed notice board explaining the project. Light with bright working daylight.
