Dark Theater Hotel Lobby: Light and Shadow of Perforated Metal

Design a hotel lobby in the manner of Jean Nouvel, staged as a dark theatrical interior pierced by patterned light. Keep every surface deep black or near-black — matte black plaster walls, a black stone floor with a faint sheen, black metal ceiling — so the room reads as a void. Screen one entire wall with a perforated metal panel of an intricate geometric pattern, backlit so thousands of small points of light project a shifting figured pattern across the floor and across the people moving through. Build the reception as a single monolithic dark block with a concealed light beneath so it appears to hover. Furnish with low seating in deep oxblood or dark bronze velvet, arranged sparsely with large distances between groups.
