Enlarged Body Part: A Hand Occupies the Entire Exhibition Space

Design a sculpture of a single body part enlarged until it becomes architecture. Show one open hand, palm upward, at a scale of some eight metres from wrist to fingertip, filling most of a large gallery so visitors can walk around it and beneath the raised fingers. Detail the surface as faithfully enlarged human skin rather than smoothed or idealised: the palm's creases running as deep canyons, the fine cross-hatched skin texture magnified into a visible pattern, the fingerprints legible as broad ridged bands, a small scar across one knuckle, and the nails showing their lunula and slight ridging. Detail the material as a matte unpigmented plaster-white composite with no colour at all, so the form and texture carry everything and the object reads as sculpture rather than as a prop. Show the hand as resting directly on the gallery floor with the fingertips just touching and the palm hollow raised, creating a sheltered space beneath that people are standing in. Show three visitors for scale, one standing in the palm's hollow, one at the wrist.
