Terraced Fields and Villages: Resort Configuration Adapting to Topography

Design a resort landscape in the manner of Ed Tuttle, laid out as a traditional village stepping down a terraced hillside. Show a series of individual pavilions with pitched thatch or tile roofs set at staggered levels following the natural contours, connected by narrow stone paths and flights of steps that turn with the slope rather than cutting through it. Retain the existing agricultural terraces as planted rice or grass steps with low stone retaining walls, so the resort appears inserted into a working landscape rather than imposed on it. Add a water channel running down the terraces from level to level, dropping over small stone weirs. Keep the planting local and unmanicured: coconut palms, banana, tall grasses on the terrace risers. Place a single open pavilion at the lowest terrace overlooking a river valley. Use only local materials — volcanic stone, timber, thatch — with no imported finishes visible. Show early morning with mist lying in the valley and low light across the terraces. Photorealistic, rooted, layered and harmonious, elevated eye-level view down the terraces.
