Restrained Luxury: Dark Wood, Symmetry & Few Objects

Design a hotel suite living area in the manner of Ed Tuttle, where luxury is expressed through restraint and proportion. Compose the room in strict symmetry: a central axis with matching timber-panelled doors on both sides, a pair of identical armchairs facing one another, and a single low table between them. Panel the walls in a dark timber with very slim recessed reveals dividing them into tall equal bays, running floor to ceiling with no cornice and no skirting. Keep the palette almost monochrome — dark timber, warm off-white plaster, unbleached linen upholstery, aged bronze hardware — with no pattern anywhere. Place very few objects: one ceramic vessel, one stack of books, one folded throw. Detail the floor in a large-format warm stone with fine joints. Light from a pair of matched bronze wall lights and one concealed cove, warm and low. Allow no artwork. Show soft daylight through a tall window with plain unlined linen curtains. Photorealistic, quiet, symmetrical and deeply refined, eye-level view down the axis.
