Furniture Exhibition・Material Workshop: Production Processes and Samples Together

Design a furniture trade show stand that shows how the pieces are made. Build a working craft bench at the stand's centre where a maker works on a component in real time — hand-planing a timber edge, weaving a cane seat, or stitching a leather cushion — with proper tools racked on a wall behind and shavings gathering on the floor. Surround it with the process laid out in sequence: raw material at one end, then rough components, then finished parts, then the completed piece, each on a simple timber trestle with a small explanatory card. Add a material library wall with drawers of samples visitors can pull open — timber species, fabrics, leathers, finishes. Keep the construction honest: raw plywood, steel trestles, a concrete-look floor. Light with simple clip lights and linear fittings, brighter over the bench. Keep the palette natural timber, steel, leather and unbleached fabric. Show visitors watching the maker and opening sample drawers. Photorealistic, warm, tactile and authentic, eye-level view toward the bench.
