Glass Block Walls: Translucent Yet Opaque Side Walls

Design a contemporary Taiwanese townhouse using glass block as a full structural-looking wall rather than as a decorative panel. Show one entire elevation — the side wall facing a narrow gap between houses where a normal window would offer no privacy and no view — built as a continuous field of clear glass blocks from the second floor to the parapet, some five metres wide and nine metres tall, with no frames, mullions or openings interrupting it. Detail the blocks as square, two hundred millimetres, with a subtle internal ripple that scatters light, laid in a stack bond with fine white mortar joints forming a precise grid across the whole field. Show the wall's behaviour as the point: by day it reads as a milky white plane from outside while flooding the stair core behind with soft even light, and by night it becomes a glowing lantern that lights the narrow gap between buildings.
