Scoreboards and Clocks: Information Elements on the Sidelines

Design the scoreboard and timing element for a community sports field, at the modest scale a park actually needs. Show a freestanding panel about three metres wide raised on two slim weathering steel posts, its face a dark matt surface carrying a simple LED display — large amber digits for the two scores, a period indicator and a game clock — with no advertising and no graphics beyond the home and away labels in clean type. Detail the housing as a shallow box with a deep hood over the top edge to shade the display from direct sun and rain, its side returns visible.
