Glass Pavilion and Black Grille Ceiling: A Cut-Out Room

Design a bus shelter in the manner of Smiljan Radić, treating it as a fragment of a room cut out and set down in the landscape. Show a small glass pavilion — full-height clear glass on all sides with almost no visible frame — beneath a heavy black concrete ceiling cast as a deep coffered grid, its recesses square and its surface rough from the formwork, so the roof reads as far heavier than anything holding it up. Detail the contrast as the whole idea: an almost invisible glass box carrying a massive dark slab. Furnish it with two ordinary wooden peasant chairs, worn and mismatched, placed casually inside as though carried out from a farmhouse. Show the coffered ceiling's shadows falling into the glass box and onto the chairs. Set it beside a country road with meadow grass growing right up to the glass and mountains behind.
