Executive Lounge: Custom Bar & City View

Design a hotel executive lounge in the manner of Yabu Pushelberg, layered and bespoke against a city view. Build a custom bar as a sculptural object in the room's centre: a curved form clad in hand-textured bronze panels with a top of pale onyx lit softly from within. Arrange seating in several distinct characters around it — a banquette in a channelled deep teal velvet, a group of leather club chairs, a long communal table in burl timber with sculptural stools. Keep one full wall as floor-to-ceiling glazing with the city beyond, dressed only in a sheer curtain. Line the opposite wall in slim fluted timber with recessed niches holding ceramics and books. Add a large-scale commissioned artwork with heavy texture. Hang a cluster of hand-blown glass pendants at varying heights over the bar. Layer the lighting entirely from lamps, coves and the glowing bar. Keep the palette bronze, teal, burl timber and warm neutrals. Show dusk with the city lights coming on.
