Glass Brick Tower and Face Fountain: Public Art That Spits Water
Prompt
Design an interactive fountain artwork in the manner of Jaume Plensa, built as two towers facing each other across a shallow pool. Show each tower as a rectangular shaft some fifteen metres tall, four wide and two deep, constructed entirely of clear glass blocks so its structure is translucent and its interior faintly visible. Detail the inner face of each tower as a full-height LED screen behind the glass, displaying an enormous slowly changing portrait of an ordinary local resident — the face filling the whole tower, blinking and shifting expression very slowly, rendered soft and pixelated by the glass block in front of it. Show water as the mechanism that connects image and crowd: a jet issuing horizontally from a nozzle at the mouth position of each face, arcing out over the pool, so the portrait appears to spout water. Detail the pool as a black granite plane only a few millimetres deep, its surface a perfect mirror doubling both towers, with children running and splashing across it. Show the surrounding plaza with tall buildings behind. Show early evening so the screens dominate the ambient light. Photorealistic, luminous, glowing faces over black mirror, low three-quarter view.
