Wabi-Sabi Living Room: Raw Textures and Traces of Time

Design a quiet interior in the Wabi Sabi style, built on imperfection and the evidence of age. Compose it from hand-troweled clay plaster walls that still show the trowel marks and uneven colour, an unfinished timber beam with checks and knots, and a floor of worn stone. Place almost nothing in the room: one asymmetric ceramic vessel with a pooling uneven glaze, a single dried branch, a length of undyed linen. Keep the palette to clay, ash, oatmeal and charcoal, avoiding both pure white and true black.
