Autumn Leaf Season Bench: Seat Half-Covered by Leaves

Design a park bench in deep autumn, when the season has partly taken it over. Show a timber and iron bench standing beneath a large deciduous tree that has dropped most of its leaves, the ground around it entirely covered in a thick uneven carpet of fallen foliage in ochre, russet, deep amber and brown. Detail the leaves as having gathered on the bench itself: a drift along the back of the seat where the slats meet the backrest, several lying flat across the middle of the seat, one caught on edge between two slats, more collected in the hollow of the armrest. Show the leaf litter as banked deeper on the windward side of the bench legs, so the object's presence has shaped the drift around it. Detail the timber as damp and dark from recent rain, its grain swollen and its silvered surface temporarily returned to a warmer brown, with the iron ends beaded with moisture. Show the light as soft and low, coming through the remaining leaves overhead in a warm amber cast that intensifies every ochre in the scene.
